AeonVox Update Policies


Many scripted objects enjoy the benefit of being updated periodically over time. While clothing designers do not hand out a free blue shirt to any customer who has purchased a red shirt and builders do not give out free copies when they update or change a build that has been on the market for some time, scripters often hand out updates to their scripted objects free of charge. AeonVox follows this trend, based upon the following guidelines.

Sub-Version Updates

All sub-version updates (updates from script version 1.00.02 to 1.00.03 or 1.00.03 to 1.01.00 - any update in which the left-most number does not change) are offered to AeonVox customers free of charge. Updates to the right-most set of numbers (1.00.02 to 1.00.03) indicate bug-fix updates. Updates to the middle set of numbers (1.00.03 to 1.01.00) indicate feature enhancements and reset the right-most numbers to 00.

Full-Version Updates

All full-version updates (updates from script version 1.04.02 to 2.00.00 or 2.03.00 to 3.00.00) are offered to AeonVox customers at a 50% customer-loyalty discount. Full version updates (changes to the left-most number) indicate a complete rebuild of the script from the ground up and are, essentially, a new product.


If a customer has purchased a product within 30 days of a full-version update, that customer will receive the full-version update free of charge.

Multiple Full-Version Updates

All multiple full-version updates (updates from script version 1.04.02 to 3.00.00 or 2.03.00 to 5.00.00) are offered to AeonVox customers at normal price. While we appreciate the loyalty and long-standing patronage of our customers, if one is absent long enough to miss an entire full-version update cycle, we must require that full price be paid for an upgrade of 2+ full versions.

Version Support

In the case of sub-version updates, only the most recent version of the AeonVox script is supported. If you do not have a current version of the script, please first update to the current version and see if the update solves your difficulty. If it does not, then please contact customer support for assistance.


In the case of full-version updates, because we understand that not all customers will update immediately, AeonVox will continue support for the previous script version for up to six months beyond the release date of the new version. After six months, it is the responsibility of the customer to update to the newest script version or to continue using the old version without support.

Update Options

AeonVox Customers have two options for updating their products.


1 - A customer may login to their AeonVox Web Account (through the login form at left) and click the Check for Updates option that appears after login. The customer will be shown any available updates and will be given the option to request delivery of those updates to their avatar.


2 - A customer may visit the AeonVox in-world store and purchase a new copy of the updated product. The vendor will automatically determine that the customer is purchasing an update and refund the customer's L$ while delivering the updated product.
